Star Diary
Last updated: 8 July 2026
Star Diary is built to keep your inner life yours. This policy explains, plainly, what the app does and does not do with your information.
The short version: your readings, diary and birthday stay on your phone. We have no account system, no analytics, and no advertising. The only time anything leaves your device is when you ask for an AI-written reading — and even then it is used only to write that reading, never stored by us or sold.
Everything you create in Star Diary — your saved readings, your diary, your compatibility list, your birth month and day, your chosen sign, and your settings — is stored only on your device. It is never uploaded to us and we cannot see it. Deleting a reading, or uninstalling the app, removes that data permanently.
When you request a reading and the AI feature is enabled, Star Diary sends a small, anonymous request to our AI provider (OpenAI) to write that reading. This request contains only:
This is used solely to generate your reading. We do not attach your name, email, or any device identifier — we have none. We do not store these requests, use them to build a profile, or sell them. Processing is governed by OpenAI's policies. If you never enable AI readings, nothing you write leaves your phone.
If you turn on the morning reminder, it is scheduled locally on your device. There is no push server and no message is sent over the internet.
Star Diary is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 where required), and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
You can delete any reading at any time inside the app, and uninstalling Star Diary erases all data it stored on your device.
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date above.
